Groove Don’t Lie is driven by the life, legacy, and rhythm of Gerry Brown—a true OG Groove Master whose career has helped shape the sound of modern soul, R&B, pop, and funk for decades.

A drummer’s drummer, Gerry’s groove has powered stages and studios alongside some of the most iconic artists in music history, including Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, and for more than 23 years, Diana Ross. His playing isn’t just technically masterful—it’s deeply musical, instinctive, and rooted in feel. When Gerry locks in, the groove speaks for itself.

But the groove doesn’t stop when the music does.

Life on the road taught Gerry that some of the most meaningful moments happen offstage—gathered around great food, good wine, and honest conversation. Touring across the U.S. and around the world, those shared meals with fellow musicians became rituals of connection, reflection, and joy. That experience planted the seed for Groove Foodies and ultimately inspired Groove Don’t Lie.
